Minimum Calories you should consider for successful weight loss

For clients with a higher BMI it is not necessary or advised to drop calories too drastically at the beginning of any weight loss phase, instead stepping down calories is advantageous and will be more successful long term. Following guidance in the table below is advised.  Those with a higher BMI can still expect a fast/rapid weight loss which should continue until a Healthier Weight is achieved. As your BMI decreases you can if wished step down calories as required. Before starting any weight loss phase confirm suitability with your doctor and follow their medical advice & request their support throughout your weight loss phase.

Rapid Burn Phase (Male & Female Ketosis VLCD Diet Plan) Excludes ALL Meals, ideal for those wanting MAXIMUM weight loss results in the shortest possible time!  Is a Ketogenic Rapid Burn Diet suitable for me?

Please ensure you discuss with your Doctor and fully understand the concept of a VLCD. With your Doctors consent & regular monitoring use all the Daily Requirements & Advised Items below for continued good health and best weight loss results.
  • Generally used for those who are overweight with a BMI of 28 - 30 +, with a requirement to use supplements. 
  • To use this plan you should be 14lbs + from your BMI of 25, if less a higher plan should be considered.
  • Those aged between 18-70 years, in good health - not taking any medication or have a medical condition.
  • Received Doctor approval* to follow a very low calorie diet (VLCD) and will receive Doctors regular support, health checks &monitoring.
  • Persons who prefer to exclude daily meals for a short period of time
  • Those who wish to follow a low carbohydrate / mild ketosis weight reduction regime

How Do I follow a Ketogenic Rapid Burn Plan?

Daily Example
Breakfast:
1 x Total Strawberry Shake

Lunch:1 x HP Roasted Onion Soup
Evening Meal: ProtiKee Total Spaghetti Bolognese large flat mushroom & side salad
Snack: 1 x HP Chocolate Crunch Bar
Daily include: 200ml dairy + time release Vitamin & Mineral Supplement

Under guidance from NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence) a VLCD plan can be followed for a maximum period of 12 continuous weeks or a conventional healthy meal can be added every 5th week. Following this guidance aim to step up to a diet offering 800kcal+ (Social Plan) for one week.  Either remain on the higher calorie plan for continued weight loss or if your BMI is still 25 + you can repeat the 12 or 5 week process until you reach a healthy BMI of 25.

Once you have reached a healthy BMI 25 (do not allow your BMI to fall below 20) slowly move up plans and calories, for example Etiquette One (our Social Plan) to Etiquette Four (Lifestyle Plan) - including more and more conventional foods alongside slimming products, whilst you continue to stabilise your weight, gain confidence and portion awareness. Commit to step up calories / diet phases either weekly, fortnightly or when you feel emotionally and mentally prepared.

You should still be losing weight until you reach a weight maintenance phase (e.g. Lifestyle 1500) and then be able to maintain your lower weight. By using the Etiquette Steps 1- 4 as guidance you will forge a new relationship with food, establish food & self-control, promote new portion sizes, introduce new healthy foods, install new healthy eating habits to ensure you can maintain your new slimmer shape.
 

 Guidance for a Ketogenic Rapid Burn Weight Loss
